Horizon is inspired by the simplicity and beauty of the Mediterranean coastline around Jávea. Standing on the beach, there are moments when everything is reduced to three simple elements—sky, sea and sand—and somehow that's enough.
Built with expressive layers of acrylic, oil and mixed media, this painting includes real sand collected from Jávea beach, bringing a small piece of the coastline into the work itself. Rich textures and soft washes of colour echo the movement of the waves and the changing Mediterranean light.
For me, the sea has always been a place to reconnect with myself. This painting is an invitation to pause, breathe deeply and lose yourself in the endless horizon.
