About Julia Evangeli

I’m Julia Evangeli — a British-born painter and art coach, now based in the mountain village of Benidoleig in Alicante, Spain. I work mainly in oils and mixed media, creating expressive portraits, figurative pieces, and abstract landscapes often inspired by mythology, symbolism, and inner transformation.

I studied Fine Art at Camberwell and Brighton and have been painting for over 20 years. My studio practice is intuitive, layered, and emotionally charged — driven by colour, gesture, and a desire to make work that feels both powerful and personal.

Alongside my painting, I also mentor artists through The Expressive Path — a coaching practice that helps creatives of all levels reconnect with their voice, build confidence, and create with more freedom. I run workshops here in Spain and offer coaching sessions online to artists around the world.
